tilt controls
Series filters, paper-dealer richness, put sign control, and configurable average baselines for tilt.
series legend
Use the legend at the top right of the pane to select active series.
- dealer C/P toggles the dealer call and put tilt curves.
- paper C/P toggles the paper call and put tilt curves.
- richness C/P toggles the two paper-dealer richness curves.
- spot toggles the spot price series.
A narrow pane puts these items in the Legend menu.
flip put setting
Select flip P in the identity row to invert the put tilt curve. This option puts downside tilt above the zero line for direct comparison.
paper-dealer richness
Click richness C/P to show two additional series. The call series is paper call tilt minus dealer call tilt. The put series is dealer put tilt minus paper put tilt. Raw put tilt becomes more negative as the put wing becomes richer.
Positive values show more paper richness. Negative values show more dealer richness. The flip setting does not change either difference.
The richness series remain visible when the dealer and paper legend items are off.
days-to-expiration selection and average baseline
The days-to-expiration (DTE) selector presents a two-column popup table:
- Expiration Column: Check or uncheck expiration dates to toggle live skew curves. This change also applies to the matching
avgbox. avgColumn: Change anavgbox independently after you change the expiration. The box controls its constant-maturity profile.
Use the Avg dropdown after the DTE selector to set the average lookback period. Select 5 days, 15 days, or 30 days. The default period is 30 days. The setting applies to all Tilt averages in that pane.
The dealer-only profile uses 13 half-hour segments. The segments cover 09:30 through 16:00 New York time. The chart does not connect adjacent segments. A label appears at the left edge.
Each prior session uses the exact DTE or a linear interpolation between adjacent expirations. The calculation keeps morning-settled and afternoon-settled expirations separate. It skips a session if no bracket exists or the bracket exceeds 35 days. A zero-day average uses only sessions with an actual zero-day expiration. The service caches the complete profile for six hours.
zero line
A faint horizontal zero line runs across the canvas representing a flat, zero-skew surface.
For the time span and data reload, see shared time-series settings. The Tilt view does not show peaks or GEX overlays.
For mouse gestures, axis strips, and reference lines, see time-series chart navigation.
