Mouse gestures, axis strips, reference lines, DTE popups, and keyboard shortcuts.
two interaction models
skewbot uses two chart interaction models:
- Snapshot charts (Curve, Term): These charts use manual pan and zoom controls on strike and expiry axes.
- Time-series charts (Flex, Tilt, Shear, Liquidity, FDV): These charts pan and zoom through time and use separate metric and spot axes.
mouse: time-series charts

| Right-click | Adds or removes a horizontal reference line |
| Double left-click anywhere in pane | Resets the view and resumes live follow |
| Double right-click over plot | Opens the horizontal line settings |
| Hover | Shows crosshairs, readout pills, and a synchronized time marker across panes |
[!IMPORTANT] Panning or zooming the time axis stops live follow. Use reset view or double left-click the pane to resume it.
the axis strips (time-series charts only)
The narrow vertical strips beside each time-series plot control axis scaling. The left strip controls the metric axis. The right strip controls the spot axis.

| Double right-click over plot | Opens the horizontal line settings |
| Hover | Shows crosshairs and numerical readouts |
reference lines
Right-click any chart to add or remove a horizontal reference line. Double right-click over the plot to open the horizontal line settings.
- Scope: Reference lines are stored per ticker and per chart type.
- Persistence: Save the workspace to keep them.
- Appearance: Open Colors, then use Horizontal marks to set the color, thickness, and style for reference lines and term pins.
expiry dropdown behavior
The DTE popup stays open while you make multiple changes.
- Press Escape to close it.
- Click outside the popup to close it.
keyboard shortcuts
Keyboard input can move through header and pane controls. Chart navigation uses the mouse.
