Mouse gestures, axis strips, reference lines, keyboard shortcuts, and interaction rules.

two interaction models

skewbot charts divide into two interaction models:

  1. Snapshot charts (curve, term): Have no time axis. Built-in plot gestures operate manually. The mouse wheel zooms value axes, and right-drag opens a rubber-band zoom box.
  2. Time-series charts (flex, tilt, shear, liquidity, fixed delta vols): The mouse wheel zooms the time axis. Ctrl/Cmd targets the metric axis. Shift targets the spot axis.

Scroll wheel over plotZooms time around the cursor timestamp (clamped between 0.1x and 10x)
Ctrl/Cmd + scroll wheel or pinchScales the metric axis only
Shift + scroll wheelScales the spot price axis only
Drag left or rightPans through time
Drag up or downMoves the metric series and spot line together

[!IMPORTANT] Panning or zooming time disables live auto-follow. The series continues to update in the background. Double left-click anywhere in the pane or select reset view to re-enable live auto-follow.

the axis strips (time-series charts only)

The narrow vertical strips beside each time-series plot control axis scaling. The left strip controls the metric axis. The right strip controls the spot price axis.

Drag a strip verticallySlides that axis alone, leaving the other axis in place

Each strip prints its axis name at the bottom edge. Curve and Term print IV at the bottom of their left Y-axis. Point to reset view in the identity row to see the double-click shortcut.

reference lines

Right-click any chart to add a horizontal reference line at the cursor coordinate. Double right-click over the plot to open the horizontal line settings.

  • Remove Line: Right-click near an existing line to remove it. The selection range is 2% of the visible vertical range.
  • Scope: Reference lines are stored per ticker and per chart type.
  • Persistence: Reference lines save to local browser storage when you click Save in the header.

Open the Colors panel to set the color, thickness, and style of horizontal marks. The Horizontal marks section has separate settings for these mark types:

  • Reference line
  • Term full line
  • Term right ray
  • Term left ray

expiry dropdown behavior

The DTE dropdown on Curve, Term, Tilt, Liquidity, and Fixed Delta Vols remains open while selecting multiple maturities.
