Sign in to skewbot with a code from your email. skewbot has no password. What to do when the code does not arrive or does not work.

skewbot has no password. You sign in with a six-digit code that we send to your email address.

Open the skewbot sign-in page.
Enter your email address, then select continue.
Open the email from account@mail.skewbot.com. The subject is "123456 is your skewbot sign-in code", with your code in place of 123456.
Enter the code in the same browser, then select sign in.

Enter the code in the browser where you asked for it. A code that you enter in a different browser or on a different device does not work.

How do I create a skewbot account?

Sign in with your email address. When the address has no skewbot account, the first code creates one. You do not choose a password.

When you ask for a code, you agree to the terms and conditions.

When skewbot takes no new accounts, the sign-in page shows the waitlist. A new address then gets an email that tells you how to join the waitlist, and no code.

How long does a code work?

A code works for 15 minutes, and only once. Each new sign-in needs a new code.

Why did my code not arrive?

Look in your spam or junk folder for an email from account@mail.skewbot.com.
Make sure that you entered the correct email address. Select use a different email to correct it.
Select send a new code. The newest codes all work, so you can use the code from any recent email.

If you ask for many codes in a short time, skewbot sends no new code. Use a code from an earlier email. Or wait a few minutes, then ask again.

Why does my code not work?

The sign-in page shows "The code is not valid. Ask for a new code." when:

the code is older than 15 minutes, or you already used it;
you entered the code in a different browser from the one where you asked for it;
you entered a wrong code five times. All of your codes then stop working.

Select send a new code, then enter the newest code.

When the page shows "Too many attempts. Wait a few minutes, then try again." or "This account has reached its login limit. Please try again later.", wait a few minutes before you try again.

Is my skewbot account also a gexbot account?

Yes. One email address is one account on skewbot and on gexbot.com. To sign in to gexbot.com with a password, set one first. Select Forgot Password? on the gexbot.com sign-in page. Then enter the code from that email. This works after your first skewbot sign-in, because the first code verifies your email address.
