Getting Started
Accessing the Platform
Skewbot runs in your browser as a web application. No installation is required. Navigate to the platform URL and log in with your credentials.
Once logged in, you will see a single empty pane with a control bar at the top. From here you select your layout, tickers, and views.
Selecting a Ticker
Each pane has a ticker dropdown in its control bar. Select from the available instruments:
- Index options: NDX, SPX
- ETF options: SPY, QQQ
- Single names: AAPL, NVDA, MSFT, TSLA, META
Changing the ticker immediately reloads the pane with live data for that instrument.
Selecting a View
Next to the ticker selector is the view selector. Pick the analytics type you want to display:
- Fixed Delta Vols
- Tilt
- Convexity
- Curve
- Term Structure
- Depth
Each view is described in detail in its own section of this documentation.
Choosing a Layout
Skewbot supports up to four simultaneous panes. Use the layout selector to tile panes side by side or in a grid. Each pane is fully independent — different tickers, different views, different lookback periods.
Available layouts:
- Single pane
- Two panes (horizontal or vertical split)
- Three panes (various arrangements)
- Four-pane grid
Setting the Lookback
The lookback slider controls how much historical data is shown on the chart. Options range from 15 minutes to 7 hours. This applies per pane — one pane can show 15 minutes of a fast-moving session while another shows the full day.
Tip
Start with a 1–2 hour lookback to get context on the session, then zoom in to 15–30 minutes when watching for short-term changes.
